Dine by Design, Inc was born out of our desire as busy moms and professionals to simplify our lives and the lives of others, who like us, want to provide our families with healthy meals and quality time. We prayed and decided to unite our talents as Dietitian and expert cook to make our dream come true for us and others like us. In this way we founded Dine by Design, Inc., a new catering business that provides healthy, low fat meals, customized meals, catering, and specialty items to our customers.

Mabelissa Acevedo, LDN, MHA, is a licensed dietitian with over 10 years of experience in the Gainesville area. She obtained a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Florida. She is an avid cook who enjoys transforming favorite recipes into healthy and tasty ones. She is also the mother of 4 children who understands both the importance of eating healthy and having dinner on the table quickly. She has 2 years of experience running a successful catering business in the city. Her education and business experience, coupled with her passion for cooking and health contribute remarkably to the uniqueness and validity of Dine by Design, Inc.

Arlene Colon spent many years of her youth traveling around the world and learning about the different cultures. While enjoying culture, she took advantage of this opportunity to also learn the secret of the unique flavors. As an adult, mother of 3, and an educator of foreign students for 20 years, she had the opportunity to expand her cooking skills, experimenting with unique dishes and spices from the countries represented in her classrooms. During the past 2 years she embarked into a catering business of her own in which she demonstrated her talents very successfully. Her passion for cooking along with her hands-on experience and traveling make her a priceless asset to Dine by Design, Inc.
